I must admit that we're not really into football in our house! Which I'm glad about seeing as though I'm outnumbered 3 to 1 at home.

Don't get me wrong I love to hear about the local football teams (Stoke City FC and Port Vale FC) and it's great to see how much support they receive from fans.

I used to work in Stoke city centre and my boss, Mr C was (still is!) an avid Stoke City FC supporter. He would travel all over the country for the away games and had a record of never missing any of the home matches. I always remember the match assessments and blow by blow account we would be given - even though I didn't understand most of it!

 

 

I'm always so grateful when someone asks me to create a special gift for them & that's what happened around Father's Day this year. I was asked for ideas to come up with a football themed card & that's when the idea of little bobble hats happened. I made a card and keepsake in one, making the little team hats as magnets.

I have since been asked to make some as Christmas cards where the bobble hat is a hanging decoration rather than a magnet - it can be hung on the Christmas tree, in a car, anywhere really. I have also started to offer the choice of stitched writing or printed writing too. These are great little unique gifts which I love making! I'd be interested in making other team colours too...watch this space.
